Miami is known as one of the best places to visit on the east coast of Florida. A spring break destination location where you can soak up the sun on their famous beaches. There is so much to see and do in this culturally rich haven. Enjoy Cuban Cuisine in Little Havana or explore their famous mangrove forests.

A must-see spring event is the Calle Ocho Music Festival in Miami, Florida. Nestled in the heart of Little Havana, this one-day event takes place in March and is the largest Latin music festival in the US.

Acadia National Park, Maine

Feast your eyes on amazing vistas overlooking the Atlantic Ocean on Acadia National Park’s rocky headlands. This historic park features over 158 miles of hiking trails or you can drive along 27 miles of historic roads. 

Acadia NP is one of the top ten most visited parks in the United States.

While there, visit the quaint New England town of Bar Harbor and sample the freshest seafood cuisine on the market. Enjoy shopping and fine dining.

North Carolina’s Outer Banks is an interesting place to visit on the East Coast during your summer vacation. The Outer Banks are barrier islands off the coast of North Carolina. It includes the historic site of Roanoke Island where Sir Walter Raleigh started the first settlement in the New World.

The Outer Banks are famous for their 100 miles of open-air sandy beaches and diving for treasure amidst their shipwrecks.

Chincoteague, Virginia

Chincoteague Island is Virginia’s only resort island. It’s also the gateway to Assateague island, home of the famous Chincoteague ponies. Their annual Run with the Ponies event takes place in late July and draws thousands of visitors.  This is an awesome family experience.

Every year, the Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company auctions off some of the ponies. Saltwater cowboys herd these wild ponies from the island by making them swim across the channel.  It is an event worth experiencing.

Early peak viewing times in northern Vermont start in late September and run through early October.
